On April 21st, Tan Yan, a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President, conducted a special research on internationalization work at the College of International Education. She held discussions and exchanges on the development of the department and the advancement of key tasks, and provided guidance on further enhancing the school's level of openness to the outside world and promoting the high-quality development of international studente ducation.

Tan Yan listened attentively to the overall report on Sino-foreign cooperative education programs, intellectual resource introduction, teacher-student exchanges abroad, enrollment and daily management of international students, and the construction of theteam of international student class supervisors. She understood the current difficulties and problems within the department and put forward guiding opinions on specific tasks.
Tan Yan fully affirmed the remarkable achievements made by the department in various tasks, and expressed gratitude to everyone for their hard work in promoting the school's open education over the years. Combining with the department's development reality and strategic positioning, Tan Yan put forward four requirements: First, adhere to classified policies to solve various problems, swiftly advance matters that currently meet the conditions, and ensure efficient work promotion; second, comprehensively sort out foreign affairs work and international student education, prepare for and convene foreign affairs work meetings, build an efficient collaborative platform, and provide strong support for the leapfrog development of opening up work; third, strengthen campus safety management and control, adhere to the safety red line, further refine the daily management of international students, and build a solid defense line for campus safety and stability; fourth, strengthen the construction of the class supervisor team, expand the management force for international students, reduce the burden of daily affairs through practical measures, concentrate on core work, and comprehensively improve the quality and efficiency of international student education managemen.
