The 5th Wudang International Medical Forum (AI Health Summit) was held successfully on May 14th and 15th at Hubei University of Medicine. More than 40 scientists and researchers from home and overseas convened online and in person to discuss the most recent advances in intelligent medicine, focusing on the interdisciplinary integration and innovation of artificial intelligence and life science.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Mr. Li He, President of Hubei University of Medicine, and was attended by leaders from the Municipal Committee and the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau.
Mr. Tu Hanjun, Secretary of the Party Committee, presented a warm welcome address and expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the online and offline experts and representatives by briefly describing the history and growth of HUM, appealing for further support in HUM's future advancement to a high-level and distinctive medical university.
Mr. Liu Songlin, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Municipal Committee, congratulated on the forum's success, praising HUM's contribution to medical talent cultivation and health endeavors in Shiyan city, and expressing hope that the forum will help improve intelligent medical health services.
Prof. Xu Weilin, President of Wuhan Textile University and an academician with the Chinese Academy of Engineering, made a statement on behalf of the participating experts and delivered a lecture as a prelude to the two-day event.
The forum was live broadcast online, and nearly 10,000 people were involved in the online forum during the two days session. The Forum featured an excellent lineup of Plenary addresses, Concurrent sessions, and poster presentations by renowned speakers from top universities like Peking University, Zhejiang University, Wuhan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Sichuan University, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Capital Medical University, etc. Besides, as part of the “World-renowned Scientist Lectureship Program” funded by the Hubei Provincial Department of Education, Prof. Liu Jianjun, Deputy Executive Director Senior Group Leader of Human Genetics of A*STAR, Singapore and his team, Prof. Zhang Kuiyu from the Ministry of Health, Singapore also shared their latest research at the forum.
