The Computer Center was founded in 1991 and developed into a center through increasing school investment into equipment. The Center has a total of 536 computers for students to use and covers a total area of about to 1,800 square meters.
The Computer Center includes three functional modules including the basic computer course module, the independent computer learning module and professional computer course module. The Center includes nine laboratories: general infrastructure, independent learning, software technology, hospital information system, database infrastructure and its applications, management science, computer hardware and networking. The Center has three laboratories for basic computer studies; two for independent research, and others for computer science. Each room in the Center was installed with an OYI BOSS system, OYI multimedia electronic Teacher Monitoring System, card access control management systems and CCTV surveillance systems. The Center is equipped with 6 servers, each with the internal composition of Gigabit Ethernet and connected to the campus network using Ethernet cables. The Center has the ability to control and manage the network and is responsible for school’s computer laboratory education in both public and professional courses.
Armed with the school’s medical background, the Computer Center has the cooperation of the school-affiliated hospitals and related medical management agencies for training and testing throughout the Northwestern region of Hubei Province. The construction of the laboratory, plus many years of teaching and management has given the Center a great reputation. With an advanced design concept, elegant study environment, leading facilities and multifunctional divisions, the Center is ready to become the provincial model experimental teaching center.
